My dad is leaving from LA here is the total driving time and miles via map quest....

Total Distance:
1583.23 miles Estimated Driving Time:
26 hours, 56 minutes

I am going to go freaking nuts in that vehicle!

we better stop a few times along the way. Oh we are driving a full sized van loaded with about 11-12 people

my dad is getting married, his fiance lives in texas. it is all family that lives in LA. Aunts, uncles, cousins.

I thought my up coming trip was bad. I have to fly into Austin, TX and the next day start driving to north of Sacramento, CA
Total Estimated Time: 31 hours, 19 minutes / Total Distance: 1803.51 miles
I will be driving my 20 year old step-daughter and her 1 year old son.

Texas is a long, boring drive. Good luck. It shouldn't be that bad though. When Purdue was in the Rose Bowl four buddies and I made the trip from South Bend, IN to Pasadena. Nothing like driving 36 hours straight, but it sure was worth it.

Total Distance: 2099.65 miles
Total Estimated Time: 35 hours, 26 minutes

dang some long trips there.

let see 2 kids, and one 1 year 5 month old baby. this will be interesting.

You will probably come down i10 and when you get to Junction I am about one hour northwest from there. 😉

Man, I thought South Bend to Wichita, KS was bad. SB to Pasadena is just plain nuts, especially going 36 hours straight. I couldn't do it. It would have taken me 3 days.

The ride there was not too bad, but the way back was hell. We left the game and drove straight back.

Just out of curiosity, why did you start in South Bend? Did you take 80?

Ryan
We started out in SB because I used to live there and I was home for Christmas break. We actually took I80 to I55. From there we got on I44 I believe and then took I40 to I10. We would have gone Route 80 all the way, but we decided we should take the southern route to avoid the weather in the mountains.

My friends Vinu and Mark drove from Anahiem CA to Charlotte NC in 36.5hrs ... along the Interstate40.

No stop more than time for food.. (stop time max = 2hrs)... Why did they go so much in so less time.. well they told raj they would meet him in Greensbro.. he was flying down from NYC.

I am telling you that's plain nuts....

Ouch. Do they make baby sleeping pills?

j/k 😉

it is my cousin's kid. Actually he travels pretty well and actually likes it. But I am not sure if he is up to traveling 30 hours.

I've only done el paso to austin twice and both times there was plenty of women and booze in the car. That's the only way you can make it and stay sane. 😉

adul, you're traveling with THAT many people with kids?

somebody start up a collection to charter a gulfstream! $800 an hour for a flight crew and fuel just might be worth it....

adul, you guys switching drivers at every tank or more of a fixed time interval?
