Talk about sucky. Fells better to sit up, as to why I am at the computer. hurts worse to lay down.
Anyone have this done? It blows =(

My mom had it done a while ago, but she was in the hospital for at least a day afterwards. They do it as an outpatient procedure now? :Q

You are posting from the hospital, right?

Gall Bladder is an out-patient surgery nowadays.

My wife just had it done last April. In and out in less than 3 hours.

wow. that amazes me.

My daughter had it done not long ago, same thing. But then she spent a week on the sofa because she couldn't climb the stairs to her bedroom.

I had no idea they did it that way now... Man. :Q I'd rather stay in the hospital with a pretty nurse to bring me pain killers, like a vacation.

No offense but your wife seems to have a number of unfortunate problems.

You'd rather them cut you open all the way under the right side of your ribcage than have 3 little 1 inch cuts?

Did I say that? No, I just said I wanted a hot nurse.

My girlfriend has gall bladder disease. 🙁 It's hereditary in her case. Her mom had to have hers removed when she was 20, too. She will have to have it removed eventually.

What does the gallbladder do?
It stores bile secreted by your liver. Stones can form and clog things up though, resulting in severe pain and the need to have it removed.

Thankfully, it's not necessary.. just makes digestion(of fats) more efficient.
