That's my mother in law, and they visited 2 weeks ago. I enjoyed that trip but, yeah, sometimes would like to live on a deserted island.

I'm betting there are many folks here who would do ANYTHING to be able to spend a few more minutes with their mom, let alone be able to do a little something that would make her happy. You only get one mother in this life and life can be pretty damn short. Ask the folks who spent yesterday, Mother's Day, visiting a grave what they would do.

Yeah, and the fact that she can go into a store and not be followed around, while every Korean grocery store owner follows me around because I'm of the darker Indian variety... And she can zoom through airport security yet I always get the "random" full inspection.. And ... for a dozen other reasons, I'm allowed to joke about race with her. Her comeback is that I'm whiter than she'll ever be since I was a die hard Buffy fan..
