They can't grasp the concept of individually named executables, yet you expect widescreen support?

;) :D

They ran out of whips and bananas, and so lost control of that troop of code monkeys before support was added.

They had to shoot too many of them restoring order, then couldn't get a fresh crop of monkeys ready from the pain labs in time.

I would imagine for the same stupid reason there are no replays either.

EA "KNOWS" there isnt any real direct competition for the Need For Speed series, so they dont bother wasting time and money on these features just to satisfy customers who will most likely purchase the game anyway.

I guess we're screwed for now, i'm hoping for a UNIWS update that works with the full version.

Seriously, I cant even play games anymore at less than 1680x1050. It hurts my eyeballs:(

There is a fix, and it looks great at 1920x1200 on my 2405. :)

Try the widescreen gaming forums.

*edit* Nevermind, I thought you were talking about the demo. :(

The widescreen hack doesn't work on the full version? That sucks, guess I'll wait a while to pick it up then...I still don't understand why games don't natively support widescreen at the end of 2005...

I've got a green vertical line where the gameplay's left border is right now on my widescreen LCD. Anyone ever seen this problem ? I played for about 3-4 hours yesterday and afterward I noticed it easily. I went to bed thinking my 10 month old LCD is crapping out on me, not realizing it's in the exact place the screen cuts off in the game. I woke up and it was a lot less noticeable but still there a bit.

I played a couple hours more just now and now the greenish line is there again.

Does this thing fade over time or do I have permanent burn-in ? Interestingly, the right border is not there.

Reboot or powering off (for a short while) doesn't help and the LCD's tv mode shows the line as well so it's not just the DVI connection.

I havent noticed any green lines on my borders. Sounds like it may in fact be your LCD:(

And this is why i don't like WS monitors yet :)

Sure, some games support WS, but other don't.

Same here. I don't see the point to WS in the first place, but the lack of support just makes it that less worth it. Hell, I have a hard enough time getting 1280x1024 in games.

I never saw the point either....until I bought a widescreen LCD.

I havent 'seen the light' yet but Malak, I dont think 1280x1024 support is half bad. We seem to get it in the majority of games and 1280x960 isnt 'that' much different.

The point in having widescreen is that it better simulates real sight from the human eye, just more natural feeling. Plus, in games, the more you're able to see, especially in some sports and first-person shooters, the better.

Why EA can't seem to support widescreen in any game besides Madden? I have no idea, and it's retarded as fvck. But, while I'm playing, I never once think about the fact that I'm not playing in WS, so it must not be that bad.

That is indeed annoying. I would be happy if it would even allow black bars on either side, rather than stretching the image, since I am playing on a 50" DLP TV. The game also doesn't support vibration on my XBox360 gamepad.
