ugh, vista 64 incompatibility issue with webfolders

evident

Lifer
basically, my school has lots of webspace for each student, but the problem is, they use front page server extensions, so the only way you can access is either by installing front page, or by using webfolders and pointing directly to the website. this worked fine in XP, but with vista i get "I E could not open http://www35.homepage.villanova.edu/david.trinh/ as a web folder would you like to see its default view instead"

i can not go to my computer and add it via the network option either. i tried installing office 2003, installing some webfolders msi from my windows xp install, but nothing works. i was having a good time with vista till i stumbled upon this problem! can someone help me?
