I believe you cannot get any type of Springfield in MA, as the company refuses to submit its firearms to MA's hilarious clusterfuck of firearms regulations, which is to say, two independent lists, one of which is left up to the state AG (aka Martha Coakley).

bingo. They said they won't because the laws are incredibly vague.

Yep. It also keeps the specialty manufacturers (Nighthawk, Les Baer, Wilson, etc) out, because of the cost of sending in three firearms for destruction and the testing. Nanny state bullshit.

Seriously. It's a handgun. Why would some handguns be allowed and this one not?

As a side note, the XDM is a nice gun. :)

I was just on the SIG site and noticed this very thing. Scroll to the bottom of the following page (click pic) and you will see that it is not CA or MA compliant for some reason. (probably mag capacity or some shit like that)

EDIT: click the specification tab when you reach the site

Seems like the last thing you need and somehow I think the entire world is better off.

How do you think he's looking to get out of debt? Think big picture, folks.

If that was the case, why buy a legal and registered handgun? The black-market exists for supplying folks in lines of work of "questionable legality."

I haven't bought weapons in a long time, but I'm sure every city/town has its "unlicensed gun dealers" that shouldn't be TOO difficult to find.

BTW, would the law prevent you from buying one from a private party in a different state?

yes, the legality of the magazine wouldn't change, but availability would be greater.
