I understand auto billing. I have a lot of services doing that. I don't even mind that DirecTV will auto bill me for the NFL sunday ticket next year. What I mind is that the service was free for a long time, and they made an obviously underhanded decision to automatically charge people rather than getting their consent at the time they begin charging.
Why are you blaming MS for your spammed hotmail acct? I have my Xbox Live account go through my standard email, and I get no such "spam".

I think it's time you stopped blaming MS for your mistakes and lack of understanding.
