Its harder than you think if you want a decent grade.

Ok, so WTF is it? I've done graphics design...it's okay...I think I can understand if you tell me.

Is it a secret or something?

You have done graphic design but you dont know what a thumbnail is?
lol
Its a smaller version of your final draft.

Final draft of what?

I know what a thumbnail is. A smaller version of a picture or something. But it's made after that is already done.

What are you making?

And if it's of your final draft...does that mean you have 20-25 final drafts due? You aren't making any sense here.

20 thumbs, She goes through them all and picks what she wants. Then you redraw that particular one full size, thats your rough. Then you redraw and color. Thats your final. Of whatever project she gives you.
But by the time you are drawing your rough, you have 20 more thumbs due. And then a rough and then 20 more thumbs. What I am trying to say is everytime I go to class she gives us 20 thumbs to do. She said it is about to bump up to 50.

Wait a minute...she picks from your thumbs what she wants you to do? You don't get to pick what you want?

The graphic design I've done was all on the computer. I don't draw at all.

I wouldn't call those thumbnails really but sketches. A thumbnail to me is something that displays a smaller version of an already completed work.

a thumbnail sketch is what a lot of professors want here...then they tell you what looks good and why and then you make better versions of those with revisions.

We are not allowed to do anything whatsoever on the computer. At all. Everything must be done in pencil only. Right now I am attempting to draw 20 thumbnails of phrases for four different companies I have to make up in 20 different fonts all drawn in pencil all due tomorrow.

Well that sucks. Of course if I could draw I'm sure I wouldn't mind.

This really will weed out those who are not creative enough to be graphics designers though.
