Ugh, i got to learn to drive with one hand, I can't move one arm.

Ok, I'm typing this one handed because one arm is strapped to my chest and enough gauze and medical tape around the shoulder it's twice it's normal size (I think it'sswollen, my hand on that side is swollen). I had some seriousshoulder surgery to repair damage from swimming. Here's the problem, how can I drive? I still can use my right hand but i drive an automatic, it's not like I need to switch gears any other time besides when I'm at a stop. I'm worried about my signal, which I need my left hand for. I can't exactly reach over to hit it and just take my hand off the wheel. Anybody ever have experoence on how to get around this? Suggestions?

I have a few days to figure it out because i had the syrgery today and I'll be blasted on enough painkillers that I won't be able to drive.

oh comon its not as bad as typing with one medical glove on 😉...

NEwayz, rig somthing up with some small PVC to reach under the weel and to your right hand...and bamo...😉 thats my solution.

i'm not convinced that you driving is that hot of an idea....

and is it wrong that i immediately jumped to the conclusion that you had injured your arm in some freak fapping incident?

<< That's what I'm saying...are you sure you should still be driving? >>

I am just worried about if you are going to be safe enough to drive.

I got to be able to drive, I'm in this for atleast a month. I live in a small town, very spread out and no public transportation. Between everythimg I got to do I can't do without driving for very long. I'll beoff the major painkillers by mid next week and I needto be able to work and things.

Well, you would probably be better off not driving, but I have seen enough people drive a stick shift while drinking a coke and smoking a cigarette to know that you could probably manage the turn signal. Practice at a deserted parking lot. May be harder if you don't have power steering.

I had RCS on my right shoulder. Got so I could drive easily. Just reach through the wheel to grab the signal or shifter. You'll see... no sweat.

Exactly. Learn to use your knees to hold the wheel. Drive more slowly and carefully, cause you're obviously not going to be able to react very well when your hand is stuck through the steering wheel. If it's a small town then I wouldn't worry too much about traffic, it probably won't be that bad.

If you can't get the hang of blinkers, drive with your hazards on instead. That way your blinkers are always on. 😉

Just what we need, you driving the BOAT doped up with your KNEES. LoL. I wish I was home to see this. I hope you feel better and things aren't too bad when the medicine wears off. My question is have you mastered Starcraft with one hand yet? 😀

I don't have to master it to beat you Matt, I would have to be brain dead to lose to you... I'm worried about Lopez though, he wants to play while I'm drugged up.

Driving an automatic with one hand? That is hard? I could do that in my sleep. Hell, I broke my shoulder once, and drove an manual with one hand for awhile.
