Heh picture this: 8AM you get up to go work, noon you go to lunch with some friends and someone you don't know asks you to fix his computer, it's something easy his says, ok fine you'll fix it after work, you get over there and it's infested with spyware. You told him that you would fix it so you do...after 3 hours of scans and cleaning. Ok fine you get home at 10PM exhausted and go to sleep. Fast forward a week, you get a call from a friend of the guy that you helped, same thing, rinse lather repeat. I bill at $50 an hour for on-site tech work and $125 an hour for on site network trouble-shooting, so I'm out $300 helping someone that I don't even know. I'm no longer happy that I have the skills to help someone.

picture this: i also have a job where i have skillz, and i'm happy to advise people, friends especially, after hours.
