I would love to go to grad school if it wasn't stupidly expensive. Who doesn't want 2 more years of freedom from real responsibility?

There's no freedom in school. So much more work, homework, exams, studying. No thanks.

I think I have way more freedom now. When I go home at the end of my shift I don't have to think about work. With school, the worse has yet to start. Homework, studying, more homework, more studying, go to bed, repeat.

Guess it's different for people who go into management, but that's the choice they take. With school you don't have the choice.

Anyway, I only studied for about 8 hours because I was so burned out that I accidentally fell asleep and lost half my study time. I got an 85% on the multiple choice and a 75% on the written portion....I messed up a question about subnetting.

Try taking some real accounting or finance classes and get back to us. When I went to school they graded the intro levels of those classes with a strict bell curve. Many in classes ended up with Cs or below and it was a real shock to them.

Accounting 302 is a bastard. Bonds are tough. Trading and Sale securities are not super easy (properly labeling and journalizing them). Reconciling cash flows can be tricky. Some of the more unusual depreciation and amortization methods are a bastard.
LIFO/FIFO/Average sales arent too bad. At least, that depends on how bad your teacher wants to make it. Some want to know what happens to each thing (CGS, inventory, whatever) when prices rise or fall. Usually you can just figure it out but memorizing helps speed up tests.

You are missing the point of school. It's not to do ok with as little work as possible. It's to do well so that you set yourself apart from your peers. Most good jobs post graduation require 3.5 for non-engineering and 3.2ish for engineering depending on the school.

You can recover from a lower GPA if you have solid work experience or other external factors.

Haven't held an internship because i took summer classes.

However, I do have 3 years of research with my professor with a very topical field. Sorta hate it though,

Unfortunately not everyone has a photographic memory. Most stuff in school is pure memorization, with a slight need to understand concepts.

You would be a solid A student. I used to be the same as you and never studied in my freshman, sophomore, and half of junior year but then I quit my part time job and focused more on school. I got 4.0 GPAs for my second semester in my junior year and the first semester of my senior year. Right now it looks like I'm going to end up with a 3.8+ GPA this semester.
