Ugh, do I HAVE to use itunes for ipod shuffle?

So my gf bought me a shuffle for when I go to the gym and I tried loading songs onto it like any normal flash mp3 player. She said I have to use itunes, but I use windows file structure to organize all my music and don't really want itunes screwing with that. Are there any third party programs that allow me to just drag and drop files onto the ipod?

This drives me nuts. Why do you guys insist on maintain folder structure yourselves? iTunes uses something like Artist -> Album -> Songs

I don't see how you could do it much differently - or why you would want to?

Uh you don't need to use iTunes as your media player. You use it to copy stuff. BAM. That's it. iTunes may suck compared to Foobar or even WMP but seriously, just use it to copy and that's IT.

I BOUGHT a program that does it, as none of the free ones I found seem to support the Touch. I still find myself using iTunes, the only problem I have is when I change a ID3 tag and re-sync it will copy the song a 2nd time with the new tag. I almost never change tags so it's not even an issue to me. I also like how iTunes will tell me when there are updates to programs. I do hate how it syncs photos though 😀

unfortunately look into video problems on itunes for pc. i cant use itunes for video playback of any type because its choppy as hell and simply doesnt work

people have been complaining about this problem since 2005 and theres no fix

And has like 3 programs running in the background at all times and autoupdates itself even though you've unchecked it.

I knew that I should have sold my $25 gift card and not used it. Stupid videos have DRM too so you can't watch with anything else.
