just got off the phone with Geico... ugh, $310/mo. for full coverage. 19y/o, clean history (one accident where they took full responsibility, rear ended me at a dead stop), $500 deductable.

not much i can do i suppose, living in a college town i'm pretty sure collision-only isn't going to cover it, my buddy's already had his car egged and another keyed. :|

I pay $350 every 3 months for liability only, no accidents, and good student discount. The total comes to $632 for full coverage and a $100 deductable every three months. I'm 17 y/o btw :)

$75 per month

FULL COVERAGE including comprehensive and liability

Limits are higher than the Oregon state requirements, towing and roadside assistane are included.

2002 Honda Accord SE automatic with Clifford Matrix 2 car alarm

Oh yeah it might help that I have a clean driving record, good credit, have had continuous insurance coverage for at least 6 months, 27, male and I'm married.

I'm with American Family Insurance.

Geico sucks. They lured me in with lower prices (compared to my old company) and then steadily raised my premiums every 6 months. I started paying $150 a month for my Camry. Now I'm up to $250. As soon as a get some free time at work, I'm gonna start looking for alternatives.

Mine hovers around 160-175 a month. 22, male, single, drive a 2002 Nissan Altima SE. Full coverage costs a lot when you're a single male under age 25....

Not bad for the car.

Area is a lot.

Personally I'm married 24 with a 93 sentra.I have only liability with no comprehensive. My coverage is the most you can buy with very low deductibles (I like that). It's $75/month. Driving for 8 years no accidents or anything like speeding tickets.

I imagine that on a new altima S with full coverage I'd be docked around $125/month. This is with progressive. Geico sucks donkey balls (but then so do I ).

$420 every six months. Full coverage. 50K/100K bodily injury, 25K property damage, 5K med payments, comprehensive $250 deductable, collision $500 deductable. I could raise my deductables, but I found that it wouldn't really save me that much money. The accident limits are pretty low, but I don't really care. I'm 23, the car is in my name only, so if something happens, let them sue me. I don't HAVE anything to take. Blood from a turnip.

My suggestion to those of you who are young and don't have a house or other large investments... Look in to lower insurance limits. If your vehicle is in your name only, a no one can go after your parents in the event of an accident. They could go after you, but if you don't have anything to take... Your insurance company would Also, shop around for other companies. I'm insured through progressive.com. By far the cheapest insurance I could find.

Remember, car insurance is there to protect you, not someone else.

heh, i guess being 20 (bday's in a few days) with a 1998 Honda Prelude has something to do with it. apparently that makes me a risk driver. ;) what's this street racing i keep hearing about?! :p

DeafeningSilence- is there a good student discount? i didn't bother mentioning it, maybe i should ask, they never brought it up while bringing up the estimate. i'll check it out, i've been on the dean's list consistently for the last 2 semesters.

Argo- i was going to check out some other companies, but i doubt it'll drop much more.

Rossman- yea yea, well at least all my debts are only student aid related :D

weezergirl- bleh, girls always get notoriously cheaper rates. well, at this age at least. :p

i checked with progressive, they don't have a good student thing (at least in california), but the rates are $242/mo., so that sounds pretty good :)

You must have done something wrong, because my premiums have steadily declined every 6 months with Geico. I'm looking forward to my 25th birthday. ;)

22 year old here driving a '99 dodge ram with a V-10. Per insurance, it is rated a tow / work vehic so insurance is lower than normal. $212 a month for one step above mimum in state of illinois.

The vehic I had before that was a Suzuki Sidekick ( full size, 4 door ) 4x4 stick. '95. I was paying $315 per month on that. Sad for a $5k vehicle. It is now registered in my name, but my father is the registered driver ( has no clutch currently, for over a year ) now payments are $46 a month.

American family insurance, no tickets, no "at fault or payouts" on my record. Levels are one step above legal minimum.
