Hello folks
I would like your advice if I should just UG key parts or just build a new system. I don't OC and I currently have the following:

i7-920 CPU
EVGA X58 mb
EVGA GTX 275 FTW
6g Ram
Corsair TX 750 Power Supply
1tb WD HD
Antec 900 Case
Samsung DVD Drive
Windows 7

I wanted to replace the following:

i7-4770k - http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?sku=583369
Azrock MB - http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?sku=607911
EVGA GTX 770 - So many models that I'm unclear on which one to choose. Has to be EVGA
Ram - If its cost effective enough then 16b, but 8g would do. Not sure on brand and such
SSD - Would only use it for the OS

I mainly play WOW, First Person Shooters and some strategy types of games. I was given a copy of Call of Duty Ghosts and couldn't play it so its prompted me to UG. With so many choices out there I was unsure of the brand of MB, Ram and SSD and Im totally open to recommendations. As far as video card I love EVGA and want to stick with it.

Thank you so much for your help.

I'd start with that GTX770. If it doesn't provide enough performance, then you can look into upgrading your CPU/MB.

The GTX275 is just horribly outdated IMHO... :D

If you look here, you can see the GTX285 (closest match to your 275) getting squashed by a GTX680 (essentially the same chip as the GTX770).

Thanks for the info. I never really thought about just replacing the Video Card. I'm going to look into cards. There seems to be 10 different GTX 700's from EVGA.

I was looking at this one

Or would I even see a difference with this one:

What do you think?

Thanks for the advice.

That depends on which resolution you're gaming at. The 760 is good enough for 1080p and lower, the 770 is better above. Weather the extra performance of the 770 is worth the additional $120 is an individual choice. It also depends on how long you plan to keep the card. If you keep it for 4 years then it can be justified to go with the GTX770 for a bit of future proofing.

Personally I haven't found anything my Radeon HD7870 (a bit slower then the 760) can't handle even at 1440p.

Just the GPU would give a huge boost. That GPU looks ok.How about an SSD? hmm? hmm?

An SSD is always a nice upgrade. If you're coming from an HDD, you'll be blown away...
