I played a bit. I like 2009 better imho.

I liked 2009 for a little then after a while it got boring and frustrating cause i would get my ass kicked and the tutorial wasn't much help.

2010 looks like the same thing as 2009 with minor features added.

I wont be buying it, i can just play 2009 if i want to mash the shit out of my controller buttons and get frustrated.

Im waiting for EA's mma game

Been playing the demo and I think it's awesome. Really wanna buy it when it comes out tomorrow. I've never played 2009, so I can't compare it to that.

2009 was awesome at first. Being a huge MMA fan it was the first real MMA game that actually worked. However it soon became old and stale b/c all the fighters basically had the same moves. There were only 3 standup style and 3 ground styles. Also, playing other people or playing hte computer got old b/c other people just grab punches toss you down and then it's a battle of who can get full mount first. Plus 2009 only had like 5 submissions.
I hear 2010 added a lot more submissions, allows use of cage, can change to/from soutpaw, can customize your fighters styles more, and added more styles overall. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope they cut out all the flash KOs though. WAAAY too many 1 punch KOs in the game.

While appearing to be deep at first the game became very predicable as you said. I am very interested in what they added.

played the demo since it came out and i think im gonna pass on the game till it drops in price. Don't really care for the hit detection and the head movement in the game. I also don't care for how the CPU is bogus on the higher difficulty's. Whats up with the cpu being hard to sub? sometimes i gotta beat the shit out of them for 3 rounds before i can even get close to subbing someone.

I would never have even looked at this game because I'm not into sports or MMA, but I played the full version with 3 other people this weekend and it was awesome. We had a ton of fun.
