Don't know if I'm happy or sad regarding this. The last few WEC ppv were awesome. I kinda wish they were left alone, but the more competition in the same division, the better.

I really don't have hate for the UFC as an entity. I just have hate for guys like Jon Fitch, GSP, Ben Askren, Greg Jackson who lnp.

I love many of the Zuffa fighters including KZombie, Shogun, Wandy, Jose Aldo, BJ Penn, Bendo, tons..

I hate the UFC marketers and Dana White for crapping on other organizations when in some cases they have better fighters in certain divisions.

I know you hate him, but Ben Askren is going to be the king of all of this shit when it is said and done. He amazes me whenever he is able to effortlessly pass guard on some very good fighters. Unfortunately he does not have the skill set to do much more than lnp,YET. When he does, you will probably see the most dominant fighter in his class for a long time. Hell, look at Koscheck, he has turned himself into a very well rounded fighter. Remember calling him "The Blanket" ?

John Fitch otoh is like watching paint dry, while GSP is at least more mobile and so dominating. Fitch, my God what a fucking snoozer.

Dude. I was a fan of Ben Askren up until his last fight. I was TELLING people about how great he was, that fight just put me to fucking sleep. Horrible, shitty fucking performance.

I can't knock on his wrestling at all, his grappling is getting there, but dude needs to learn to strike.
 
I like the free WEC events on Versus. My guess is that we'll get more free events and more exciting cards. It kind of sucks for the lower skilled fighters b/c less chance of making a main card now. However I'm REALLY stoked for the little fighters. They deserve a lot more money than they are making as they are VERY exciting. Now it's the chance for people to see how good these guys are.

There are definitely pros and cons for some fighters, but from a MMA fan point of view it's all good man!
 
about time. i thought they should have done this a while ago. I love WEC's light weight division. the little guys are a lot of fun to watch.
 
The UFC branding will be a big plus.

Aldo is just so dynamic; you have to promote this dude. Cruz is a rising start too.
