Hamil will have a rematch. That's almost guaranteed, I was reading an article where even Dana thought Hamil won.

I'm glad Quinton won, he's a good champion even though I think Henderson is more talented. But to those who don't like Jackson, don't worry, Shogun will be the next champ soon enough.

i have a feeling there'll be a hamill/bisping rematch...with hamill winning!

Dana already said he thought the outcome was suspect. (Although seriously, I'm sure he was just as big a part of the outcome as anyone else was) He said a rematch is already in the works, whatever that means. I rewatched that fight last night (only caught the last portion of the 2nd round and the 3rd round) and Hamill definitely won. Bisping's piss poor attitude made me lose any respect I formerly had for that guy.

That and Congo is taller/bigger than him, too. That said, Cro Cop didn't show and Congo had a smart game plan; utilize body kicks. Cro Cop was so afraid of getting KTFO'ed by another head kick that every time Congo threw a kick Cro Cop blocked high and left his ribs open. Those body shots will wear any fighter down and make him look sluggish like Mirko was in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Apparently, somebody did take Rogan's advice and "kidnapped" Congo and taught him some ground work. He smothered Mirko pretty well.

Bisping/Hamil. Typical. No way that Bisping won that fight. There will be some repercussions for that. You want to know how Bisping won? I'll tell you; it's a business decision. The UFC is making a huge push to expand outside of the US. Buying Pride and having PPV's in other countries is part of that. White and the Frito bros have been very outspoken about their plans to make the UFC a world-wide brand. That decision was made from up on high to help push the UFC in the UK. No if's and's or but's. Look at the intro songs of the fighters: Born in the USA and London's Calling. The whole thing was set up as a US/UK fight and the UFC already has a huge following in the US. -> Bisping has to win.

Rampage/Henderson was a good fight. No question about that decision, though. Henderson did seem to gas, but it was probably from Jackson's freakish strength. I was surprised to see Rampage do so well against Henderson in the clinch and on the ground. A lot of that wsa just power over technique, but that's Rampage's style. Was hoping for a more decisive victory for wither one, but it was a pretty good fight.

Davis/Taylor was AMAZING! My favorite kinds of fights are when there are momentum shifts and then all of a sudden, BAM, get caught in something and it's game over. Very entertaining fight.

Alexander? He can't keep doing what he's done, but he has skill, that's for sure. Looks like the old "Ding and Dash" is back, but with refinement.

Can't wait for UFC 77. Vera is going to destroy Sylvia. After that, he should cut to 205 and go for the title.

Oh, the reason there isn't 1 unified belt/champion is because Pride and UFC have different rules. They were fighting under the UFC's rules, so the UFC belt was on the line.
You covered things very well. Cro cop is gun shy, that dog won't hunt. If he doesn't shake it off soon, he is done as a fighter. That, or he'll have to go someplace where he can fight chumps to regain his confidence.

I liked Bisping a lot before this fight, one of my favorite fighters in the UFC, that worm has turned. His comments about Matt after the fight were complete bullshit, and a display of petty showmanship over integrity.

so when hamill gets his rematch bisping will now train and expect hamill to throw more strikes. that whole element of surprise being a guy with a huge wrestling background coming out swinging is now out the window. i do want to see a rematch because i do think hamill won and i would like to see him get ring justice, but i believe the judges may have cut one of his legs out from under him because he no longer has that ace up his sleeve.

its not a shock he wanted to stand up. he has done it in the past.

Guys seem to want to prove themselves instead of taking it to their "territory"...noticed that a lot lately. I just want to see Hamill completely dominate him in the rematch. :)

then perhaps he underestimated his power and thought he could stand up with him in that first round and got caught in the opening and at the end. if they rematch, im guessing bisping is going to keep his distance now that he knows what he brings to the table.
