Oh have the mighty fallen tonight...Wiedman, Aldo...and the Warriors!

Look at that guy go limp, reminds me of when he dropped Ivan Buchinger in his tracks. That was a left too I think.

I wonder if the IV ban is affecting the 145ers. Both Aldo and Mendes seemed to have lost their chin.

Anyways, if White is going to prevent Holm from fighting anyone in the next 7 months to give Rousey a rematch, he should make Connor fight at 145 again and give Aldo a rematch. A flash knockout is more of a fluke than the beating Holm put on Rousey. Cain also got a rematch when JDS one shotted him early. It may even be the same outcome just prolonged, but Aldo should get a rematch.

Last night was a good card but almost every fighter I wanted to win, lost. Weidman in particular. I really wanted him to reign as a dominant champ for quite some time. And the potential was definitely there. I just don't think Rockhold will be a good champ for dominance. And I can see him losing the belt right away to someone other than Weidman. This is not to say Rockhold hasn't won against some good competition.

While I thought the Rockhold vs. Weidman was a good fight neither fighter looked hungry for the win. It was kind of I'll go ahead and take the W if you want to give it me, but it doesn't really matter either way.

I was surprised how demure and passive Weidman was, the end of that 2nd round was just painful to watch. Rockhold looked cautious, which I think fitting when facing an undefeated guy who took care of Silva (twice!) Attempting a spinning back kick against an opponent with reach and speed would be stupid normally I think, but Weidman did it when he was tired and had already taken a few hits to the dome. The subsequent beatdown was not a surprise.

I was hoping for a Jones vs. Gus level fight from Aldo vs. MacGregor. Oh well. Maybe we'll get a rematch worth a damn out of them some day.

I think both wiedman and rockhold seemed to cancel each other out. Both are very strong and excellent defensively, and while wiedman is a dangerous striker, rockhold's kicks are dangerous. The fight gassed them both, and it seemed to come down to who made a mistake first. Unfortunately, that was wiedman.

hahaha Jacare on his back telling Romero to join him, and Yoel goes down and beats his ass. If Romero had better conditioning he'd be unstoppable.

Rockhold looked exactly like he has in his fights recently. More patient, picking his shots and wearing his opponent down.

His conditioning was really bad, but he said he was antibiotics leading up to the fight. Imagine if he had the wind to maintain his offensive output.

When herb messes up it's usually due to him stopping a fight way too early. I was watching him watch Chris get his face smashed with punches and elbows. Crazy how Mr too cautious went completly the opposite direction. I understand giving the champ a chance to come back, but sheieieieit it's like he wanted to see him brain dead. I know Chris got up and wasn't as bad as I expected, but that was poor judgement on Herbs deans part. lol

And as mentioned due to his unbeaten streak + the KO being semi fluke, I think Aldo should get an instant rematch. After JDS 1 punched Cain, Cain was given a shot right away and more than proved himself. I dunno if Aldo could do that, but he would do much better, even if he lost again. I don't see him losing like that again lol. Too bad his punch couldn't have landed better, a double KO would have been fucking awesome sauce.
