You don't need the picture to prove that judo as a martial art is about using your opponents weight and momentum against then.

Floyd is a cute boxer. He likes to go get a hug if his opponent is about to get some points. That won't work in mma. Anyways this is a fight that will never happen but I would put any mma fighter in the top 5 of their weight class against any boxer in the top 5 of their weight class. Boxing is 1 dimensional.

Point is, to get into a grapple with Floyd, she has to get close enough for him to hit her...and then it's light out.
Plus, he is too fast for her to get ahold of to begin with. He can dance around and knock her out pretty much at will. Her best chance is to hope he tripped over his own feet amd she could jump on him.

Floyd wins the boxing match.

Who wins the street fight?

I say Floyd because those punches coming at Ronda's face won't be like WMMA punches.

Floyd would hurt her bad with a single jab and would follow up quicker than Ronda would be able to handle.

If they fought 100 times I say Floyd wins 98 times, and 2/100 Ronda gets lucky and is able to slip the punch and drop Floyd on his head.

So yeah, I give Ronda about a 2% chance of winning the street fight.

Every single picture and video of her sparring with men is one where the man isn't trying at all. They are either situational drills or outright setups to further the "legend of Rowdy Ronda".
In every one woth another fighter, it's obvious that if the guy tried at all, he'd win...easily.

She cannot beat a male fighter, guys. Just stop. Beating females should be good enough.
 
Your are talking about something that will never happen even in video game form. Take any top 5 mma fighter and they will drop Floyd in the octagon. Floyd will get clinched and then gassed out.
 
In a street fight she has access to throws that are illegal. You better hope Floyd doesn't get tossed by one of those in one of those 100 fights because then he's done probably forever.

I will say against a good amount of men and even "pro" fighters she would win. Floyd is another beast. to think she would win is insane. he is faster then her, stronger then her and a elite level boxer. he would know the only chance she has is to get ahold of him and get him on the ground (IF she does it's over). So he would dance away when she comes close hit her with a flurry.

it's just not reasonable to think it would go in her favor.

really the hype needs to cool down. sure she is amazing. sure she dominates female MMA. but lets keep it realistic.

I agree with the top part.

I do think she would beat a good amount of "pro" fighters and MMA fighters. She is a freak athlete.

I do think all the talk of her beating floyd is insane. it's nothing more then to hype her name.

I dont like Mayweather or TMT at all... But him and his team are geniuses when it comes to picking matches and their stipulations... No one can argue that at all....

McGregor would crush him in the octagon....

The point is and always will be any boxer with boxer only training will not succeed in mma. They wont. Because if floyd has this great flurry of punches then people will kick him into submission. First by kicking the ever living shit out of his legs to stop his movement. Then by kicking his body to drop his arms and then kicking his head. It wouldnt have the reach to compete against leg kicks.

Im sorry your hero just isnt very good unless he is fighting guys coming out of retirement to get 60 million.
 
in all seriousness I would love to see 6 months of McGregor trashtalk up to the Floyd Mayweather fight. That would be so nice.

if the MMA fighter is a GUY....then yeah. Maybe. Even a guy has to get within punching range of a boxer who is a lot faster than they are and they WILL have to take some hits to get him on the ground.

However, a man CAN potentially take those hits. A woman cannot. Again, this isn't a matter of male chauvinism, it's simple physics and nature. Men, pound for pound, are stronger. Their bone density is higher, so the same weight guy is going to be probably shorter and stockier, and therefore, more muscled.

It's not a fair comparison. If both are equally good at their sports, then the man will be superior, every single time. It's just dumb.

A good rule of thumb with the men vs women is, the best women's pros are roughly equal, physically, to good high school boys. This holds true for most sports that place a premium on physical ability.

So go across the board with the sports, and you'll see that play out. The women might move up or down the range of men a bit, but overall, pro women vs. HS boys is about right for the really physical sports.

Basketball: Women's Olympic champs would get absolutely smoked by a good HS boy's team, and I mean by 20+pts. Huge physical mismatch.

Football: Really no women's teams, but you couldn't put together a team of the biggest, fastest, strongest women in the world and they couldn't beat a decent HS boy's team.

Soccer: Same thing. Men would run circles around women. Might need a college team to beat the US Women's World Cup, but that's it. I think an elite boy's soccer team would beat them.

Golf: If they play from the same tees, women have no chance. Might need a good college player, but the distances men hit would just be too much for even the elite women's pros.

Baseball: Women don't play, but again, huge physical mismatch.

Tennis: Been done. Many times. Venus and Serena Williams said they could beat a male pro ranked below 200. That wasn't saying much for their confidence, but the #203 ranked pro took them up on it. He played golf that morning, had a few beers and smoked some cigarettes. He didn't even try in the match, and beat Serena 6-1 and Venus 6-2.

Weight lifting? Come on. Men and women aren't even close, even at the same weight. The largest women are basically even with the 136-ish pound men.

Track? The women's world record 100 meter time wouldn't win a high school boy's meet.


And this keeps on and on. But somehow people think some magical grappling ability is going to give Rousey a chance to beat a man of the same size and skill level? These physical differences don't change in the Octagon.

Now if you want to compare an elite woman athlete to your average weekend warrior...fair enough. She probably is better. But let's forget this crap about male vs female between elite athletes of equal or close-to-equal talent. The physical mismatch is just too great.
 
nobody has to get into punching range. The MMA fighter will dictate the range with kicks against a boxer. And any MMA fighter watching tapes and planning how to fight floyd would kick the shit out of him - literally.

As for your men are better then women thing - ok. I'm not even arguing that. In fact I've never even thought about it before because its a weird thing to fixate on.
