EPIC matchup. I love both but I love Shogun marginally more, I hope Shogun shatters Hendo's fucking jaw ( yes, I realize Hendo is probably #1 p4p jaw in mma other than a prime mark hunt ).

As much as I love Wanderlei, I don't think he's winning this... but who knows, Cung Le really hasn't faced the elite even though he's pretty much undefeated in his SF and Sanshou career minus the Scott Smith fluke loss caused by acting->not doing cardio->gassing->getting caught.

The rest of the card I really don't give a shit about.

Light Heavyweight bout: Maurício Rua vs. Dan Henderson[1]
Middleweight bout: Wanderlei Silva vs. Cung Le[1]
Bantamweight bout: Urijah Faber vs. Brian Bowles[1]
Welterweight bout: Martin Kampmann vs. Rick Story[1]
Light Heavyweight bout: Stephan Bonnar vs. Kyle Kingsbury[1]
Preliminary card
Light Heavyweight bout: Ryan Bader vs. Jason Brilz[1]
Middleweight bout: Tom Lawlor vs. Chris Weidman[1]
Bantamweight bout: Johnny Eduardo vs. Michael McDonald[1]
Lightweight bout: Gleison Tibau vs. Rafael dos Anjos[1]
Bantamweight bout: Miguel Torres vs. Nick Pace[1

What is it about mma that allows guys to be great fighters so late into their careers? Dan is like 41, Couture was kicking ass up until a couple years ago at 44-45, The spider Silva is like 36, Chuck was LHW champ at 36. Most sports at that age you're either retired or just a role player. Is there a severe lack of legit competition or maybe since you can retain strength much longer than speed they are able to compete?

I'll take a 40+ Hollywood Henderson over all the LHW except Shogun and Jones. Can't think of anyone else I'd put above him. Maybe Machida?

I am a fan of Henderson, don't get me wrong, just don't think of this as epic. Epic is a match of Jones and Silva. 😀

anderson silva.
even tho he's middle weight, he walks around near max lhw range.

he beat/embarassed former lhw champ forrest griffin.
btw- why did silva do that lhw fight? he was still middleweight champ (and still is).

lol.. Bader has been banished to Prelims after losing to Ortiz

edit:
wow.. that was a quick win. I see him being back on the main card on future ufc fights
