UFC 126: Ando vs Vitor Belfort

Bader is going to be embarrassed. Expect Jones vs Hamill replay. Honestly Bader WILL be taken down. If Jones could get Hamill or Vera down as easy as he did, Bader will hit the ground. I think Rich vs Forrest is a toss up tbh. Rich has the better striking, but I don't see him putting away Forrest. Both have underrated ground games, as a HL reel Rich has one of the sickest armbar escapes I've ever seen.

Silva vs Vitor I'm completely unsure about. I think we will see the absolutely best Anderson Silva we have ever seen, same goes for Vitor.

If Vitor doesn't win in the first round his chances of winning to SIGNIFICANTLY down.

I have Ace winning due to his superior speed.

Why is the UFC.com videos such garbage? Weigh in was at 7pm EST so I try to tune in like 7:03pm and it's "Not Available" or "Available Soon". I refresh the page every 1-2 minutes and finally 20 minutes later it shows up, where Vitor is walking on stage meaning I missed almost the entire thing.

edit: Looks like I can rewatch it not live now. It just took a little while for the link to come up again.

The Q&A is said to show at 8pm, but given my experience with them it's going to finally show up 30 minutes into it.

The same exact thing happened when they aired the prelim fights on UFC.com for UFC 124. I tune in at start time only to have "Available Soon" shown. Refresh 30 times in the next 30 minutes for it to finally come up when it's almost over. What the heck is going on?

It should be obvious the UFC is technologically stupid. Hell, Dana pledged war against the internet.

Vegas has it as Ryan Bader (+300) vs. Jon Jones (-400). You willing to put your money where your mouth is?

Can't wait for this ppv. I agree, the whole card is stacked.

I hope Silva loses.
Rich Franklin and Forest Griffin are two of my fav fighters so I don't wanna see either lose.
Jones vs Bader should be awesome!

Sure if I had the cash to throw around right now. I don't gamble if I can't afford it, but I have seen NOTHING from Bader that tells me this will go any differently than the Hamill fight.

PS Hamill has AMAZING take down defense and wrestling, he got made a fool.

It was weird. Anderson Silva got so many boos during the weigh in.

During the UFC 117 weigh ins, Silva got all kinds of applauds while Sonnen got booed big time. Yeah Sonnen talked a bunch of crazy stuff leading up to it but I think most people enjoyed it for what it was.

Did Silva suddenly become hated or do people really not like Sonnen/love Vitor? If anything I would have thought Silva's likability would have been lower after UFC 112.

People hate on Silva because he has been a bore for like two years now. In fact it has been up to everyone else in his fights to try and make it entertaining while he dances around bored. If he was bored, what did he think of the people watching the fight? Why put his fan base through such a shitty fight? Just knock the fucker out and walk out like you're the shit.

Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort

omg.. Belfort was around the Tank Abbott time period (circa UFC 12).

How the hell is he a contender for the belt?!!??!?!?!

Forrest dares to show his face in the octogon after that humiliating run from the cage after he was defeated by Silva? i mean he ran like a little school girl

it seems like i remember someone punching a hole in silva's face for four and a half rounds recently.

and that guy still lost.

and if u just tuned into the fight at the end of the 4th round, it would have looked like Silva was beating the shit out of Sonnen by the beat up face of Sonnen's and Silva looking fresh and untouched.

I dunno. Silva's always been an enigma. I've watched several of his interviews and TV appearances and I still have no idea what makes that guy tick. Maybe he's very private or just a head case (my money's on this one), but Vitor came off as much more genuine in the countdown show.

Silva's full of shit is what he is. He wins a fight and his trainer is always in there to translate. But every time I a PPV prior to the one he's in and Goldie or Rogan is interviewing him over the TV, his English is pretty damn good. It's broken but he speaks fine without his translator.

I have always hated Anderson Silva. He is a social abnormality.

He tries to act humble yet when asked what the greatest fight of the decade would be, he says it would be him fighting himself... how the *hell* is he humble with that kind of a response?

He acted like an ass towards Maia, called him a "playboy" during the fight, he's acting like an ass towards Vitor. The only reason people cheered him vs Sonnen was 'cause of all the shit Sonnen talked. Sonnen is a better heel than Anderson, but Anderson is a pretty damn good heel himself when you have a babyface like Vitor.

you apparently missed his last fight. It was pretty entertaining. Hopefully this is similar. I'm excited for this card I just hope it lives up to my expectations.

Yeah I don't really like him either. That's why I was so pumped when Sonnen was just punishing for those 4.5 rounds.

And normally I don't like cocky or shit talkers in MMA, but man I fucking love Sonnen. Most of the things he says are funny and some are pure gold. I love when he was talking to Ariel Helwani about kids getting the AS figure for Christmas cause their parents thought it was Quinton Jackson so it was a shitty Christmas. Then he throws the AS figure and later Ariel is like "where's my Anderson doll? Chael threw it..."

Old-school MMA fans are rooting for Vitor

I know I am.

Chael talks out of both sides of his big dumb mouth. While reasonably entertaining, most everything that comes out of it is bullshit.

He's dumb as shit, but I must admit some of the things say are entertaining as hell

"GSP is good, but don't get me wrong he better stay at 170 with the other midgets."

"He leave the UFC for no less than 12 months, he issue an apology to the fans, and he erects a statue in my likeness in his living room that he bows to each evening" - his demands to Anderson when he beats him.

this one's retarded but I laughed

"The guys in the back know who the tough guy is. If Anderson says put on hip hop and Chael says put on country I guarantee it'll be a hoedown."

yes he did an excellent job of being beaten up for 4 1/2 rounds. i'm not saying it wasn't exciting, but he wasn't exactly the one making it exciting. Although all credit where credit is due, the man is a true champion and wins regardless. Props to him.

Btw I LOVE how Silva gets so pissed at other Brazilians. It's like he's offended they would even try to come near him, let alone think they were good enough to fight him.

I got
Belfort
Jones
Franklin

Can't fucking stand Silva. Dude is crazy, mental so I'm sure that plays a part but really Belfort is fast as fuck and a striker which Silva never sees always facing grapplers. I have been wanting to see this fight a long time now.
