I cannot wait for this, I've watched the 2 shows on Spike hyping this up. Rampage seems to be training his ass off like never before. He's very motivated to KTFO Evans. The shit talking back and forth has been pretty damn sweet. I think Evans is a bit too cocky, as good as he is he's not on 'Pages level. Unless Rashad decides to try to LNP his way to a victory this should be an incredible fight. I hope the Rampage of old is truly back. Would love to see him smash Evans so he can get the rematch against Shogun.

I like both, but unless Rampage has evolved significantly as a fighter or is able to takedown, I see Evans as being too quick and too technical for Rampage.

Rampage isn't slow by any means, he's also a lot stronger. Evans won't be able to KO Page. He might be able to take him down, but Quinton has good take down defense. Dan Henderson had problems taking Page down, I don't think Evans is as solid wrestling wise as Dan. Page has a solid skill set, his only glaring weakness would be he doesn't check leg kicks. But Evans doesn't really use them.

Also in Page's favor I think the last 10 fighters from Greg Jacksons camp to fight have all lost. Jackson's team is definitely going thru a rough patch.

I wouldnt say Evans won't be able to KO page. Evans is no slouch at all.

it should be a good fight. lets see if Page has learned to check leg kicks..

The best part was when Evans was on the web cam with his son and asked him if he was going to beat Rampage

"noooo!" <- son
"If I loose I'm going to spank your butt when I get home" <- Rashad

Kids are always so honest, even his own son knows he can't beat Page lol

to quote Quinton "BLACK ON BLACK CRIME!"

Both are capable of having their heads far up their @sses. Rampage has a helluva knockout punch, but I'd like to see Evans shut him up.

Main Card

Light Heavyweight bout: Quinton Jackson vs. Rashad Evans
Middleweight bout: Michael Bisping vs. Dan Miller
Heavyweight bout: Todd Duffee vs. Mike Russow
Light Heavyweight bout: Antônio Rogério Nogueira vs. Jason Brilz
Welterweight bout: Diego Sanchez vs. John Hathaway

Preliminary card (Spike TV)

Welterweight bout: Amir Sadollah vs. Dong Hyun Kim
Lightweight bout: Efrain Escudero vs. Dan Lauzon

I’m really looking forward to the main event, but the rest of the card isn’t one of the more exciting ones IMO. I’ve said that before though and then all the fights end up being awesome, so as usual I’ll be giving Dana White my $50.

I really want Rampage to win but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rashad take it by decision due to his superior wrestling. If you remember his last fight against Thiago Silva, over and over again he was able to get the takedown, although when they stood toe to toe, he nearly got KO’d. Expect more of the same from Rashad here. If he sticks to his wrestling he has the best chance to win, but if he lets his ego drive and tries to stand with Rampage he’s going to get knocked out.

The only other thing of note here is Diego Sanchez moving back up to Welterweight. I think 170 is a better weight class for him, and with talks of GSP possibly moving up to middleweight, maybe now is a good time for him to start climbing his way up the welterweight ladder.

The free fights on Spike should be good. All those guys are good fighters, so anyone not buying the PPV check out the undercard. It should be a good one.

Page by KO. No question. Everything Rashad can do, Page does better.

Except wrestle. Rampage is a decent wrestler, but Rashad is a very good or maybe even a great wrestler. That's the only way I see Rashad winning, takedowns takedowns takedowns.

Like I said, I want Rampage to knock Rashad into the 3rd row, but he can't do that if he's on his back.

Can't imagine this being a good fight that lasts more than 2. Rampage has some motivation finally, so its looking bad for Evans.

That's the thing about MMA tho ... on any given day, one roundhouse punch to the temple is all you need.

Doubtful on the 1 punch thing, Quinton's been hit by people who hit harder than Evans and didn't go down. Hell Wanderli had to knee him directly in the face about a dozen times and punch him over the course of 10 seconds to put him out. Page has maybe the best chin MMA has ever seen. If Evans goes in to try to KO him it will take a bunch of shots, Page could throw 1 in that situation and end it. Evans will have to stick and move and point his way to a victory, that's really the only way he could win. Him KO'ing Jackson would be the biggest upset since Sera KO'ed GSP. Evans will need 4 or 5 punches to Pages temple to put him down. And he won't have time for that.

I still laugh thinking back to when Evans got in the cage after the Page/Jardine fight and proclaimed he was going to let Page hit him first when they fought. I wonder if his arrogant ass actually believes he could take a flush shot from Page. He definitely loves talking out of his ass ha.

Rampage of 3-4 years ago and Rampage wins no contest. 30+ year old Rampage losing his desire to fight and a younger Rashad that's had more fights recently is gonna be a close one. Don't get me wrong Rampage is one of my favorites and I hope he wins but how much does he want it. Is his heart still in it?

Rampage is a year older than Rashad.

If anything, I don't think I've ever seen Rampage more motivated to fight someone ever in his career. He's never trained as hard as he has for this fight and is easily in the best condition of his life.

Rashad's family needs to fear for his life right now.

I can't wait. I think Rampage is gonna win it, but it depends on how good of a shape he's in since he hasn't fought in a while.

Here's the stream before somebody asks: www.freefightsonline.com.

Thanks. I just went there and AVG picked one of the pop ups out as an exploit threat. Lets make sure we get a could sopcast channel link
