LOL, it's been nagging at me since his entrance, but it finally hit me, Wandy looks like Cyborg Santos.

Nog's coming out to the Stones. He can't lose now.

King of Pride, huh? I guess Fedor is persona non grata around the UFC.

woah Nog looked hurt bad there

Pls.. UFC needs to hype Cain up now.

I found it rather disappointing that they yanked Carwin vs Cain and instead promoted Carwin instantly to a title match against Brock. Would have made more sense to put those two head to head, or even Cain. Cain has just looked fierce in all of his fights.

I thought it was a great card.

Sotiropoulos had an outstanding fight against Joe Daddy and I could see him giving BJ a run for his money.

Always good to see Wandy win even though I was hoping for a KO. I loved the part at the end of the 3rd where he held back the Pride-style soccer kick to Bisping's grill - I don't think i'd be mad if he did it anyway and got DQ'd for it 🙂

Cain is the real deal. I don't recall seeing big nog getting steamrolled like that ever. I'd love to see him get a shot at Brock before the winner of Mir-Carwin.

And this card was a freaking bloodfest. Jeez. It's always fun to see the first fight on the main card, see a ton of blood all over and think "wonder if they're gonna show that undercard?" Sure as sugar that Bonnar gash after the headbutt was crazy.

When did Lesnar v. Carwin turn into Mir v. Carwin? I thought they were just postponing it. That will be great.

Ha! One of the main things that stood out to me in the Silva fight was when he had to stop himself from punting Bisping's head into the 5th row. You saw him wind up.....and then stop and try to GNP him. Guess the axe-murderer has learned some restraint. 😉

I think Nog's days of competing for a belt are over. Sure he's had some great fights, but time after time, you see fighters who've had too many hits to the head that just lose it. Sure, coming from behind to win led to some exciting fights for Big Nog, but I think the head trauma (and father time) are catching up with him.

They should change the decision to a NC in the Bonnar/Socyznaksireanjdadgudshafh fight.

Thing you have to remember about Cain is that he has a glass jaw. Kongo dropped him like 3 times but didn't know how to finish a wrestler. Yeah, he recovered quickly, but he'd be in trouble against a well rounded striker.

That's one thing that makes Fedor so incredible. He's fighting in the heavyweight division and has taken many brutal shots, yet he hasn't lost since 2000 and is still dishing it out.

Cain doesn't have a glass jaw, he was dazed by one of the hardest hitting heavyweights in the UFC. Kongo is sick. Cain showed awesome recovery every time Kongo rocked him. Kongo could knock out any HW on his best day. I think him surviving those shots shows he actually has a pretty good chin. Mir's too slow to possess any threat to Cain, and his one up is his BJJ, which would be voided by Cain's sprawl. Carwin is more powerful, but slower and only would have a punchers chance against Cain. Both have sick wrestling, but I'd have to take speed > power in that match up. If Brock can take Cains punches he will give him PROBLEMS. So many people hollered how Velesquez had pillowhands before 110. But he destroyed Nog, and Nog is still a legit fighter. I don't think anyone else in UFC could have owned Nog that badly. Mir didn't count because he fought a sick Nog.

Cain is a beast, and until somebody actually KOs him I say he has a good enough chin.

Meh...I just don't buy it yet. It's been a while since I saw the fight, but as I recall, Cain was dropped 3 times by glancing shots. Now, if Congo had connected with a knee or something, that I could understand. Yeah, they were flash knockdowns, but he still crumpled. Congo just didn't know what to do with him. Congo's not sick. Sure he looks intimidating, but he's a 1-D fighter in my opinion. Maybe he can knock out any HW on his best day...guess we just haven't seen his best days yet. 😉 I think you're giving too much credit to a mediocre fighter that exposed holes in one of your favorite's game. Also, Nog hasn't been a legit "threat" for a while (see previous post).

I'm not saying Velasquez isn't good. I'm just more skeptical than the Zuffa marketing team that's pushing him down our throats. From what I've seen, I'd take Carwin or Lesnar over him, but again, that's just my opinion.
