UF student arrested at Town Hall with John Kerry

If he had been walking toward the exit like the cops escorting him wanted him to, there wouldn't have been a problem. Instead while he was resisting he was moving back in the direction of John Kerry. Since I assume that those cops were responsible for Sen. Kerry's safety, they had to get the guy under control. They only escalated their actions after he escalated his.

How is tasering a viable alternative. They had 3 cops per one person, and they couldnt just cuff him? They outnumbered him 3 to one.

What I see is this tasering is akin to torture.
Put yourself in the cops shoes for a second.

The guy is resisting and fighting back against the cops.

They can either taser him and stop his fighting or they can risk injury by continuing to fight him.

What would you do?

put him in a wrist or arm lock so painful that if he continued to resist he would break his own arm/wrist.

Seriously any bouncer at any bar in the country could have ended this outburst singlehandedly in about 15 seconds or less.

Just watched the video....so that's what it would be like to live in a John Kerry world, eh? Ask a stupid question, get grabbed by police, not receive any word of what you are being arrested for, get tazed. Oh, how I love the libs ideas of a free society.

Here, have a box of tinfoil...

Maybe the real story here is CNN does not like the part about Clinton getting a "Blowjob" in the whitehouse. I do not like using words like that. It is a quote from the Video. I think CNN edited it out becuase it is not a Pro-Clinton remark. This is the real story.

perhaps. but is blowjob a word allowed to be used on CNN? maybe they could've bleeped it out, they had no problem bleeping out the idiot as he swore while he was getting tasered

or, if you really want to tighten that tin fol hat, you can say that they edited out the skull and bones comment because CNN is a skull and bones patsy

It's definitely interesting to watch just one video and formulate an opinion. After watching all the videos, you can easily tell that the police were in the right. Now, I don't necessarily agree with him being tasered, but the police really did give him plenty of time and opportunity. I mean, think about it. How often do you see (and I hate to be politically-incorrect here) a white kid yelling help (and needing it) when he's being arrested by the police? What are the odds?

Originally, they were just escorting him out. He started to resist, so they tried to force him out. You can tell he just wanted his time in the spotlight when he's jumping up and down (in the direction of Kerry) instead of just bolting out the door where no one could've stopped him. He wanted his 10 minutes of fame and it seems like he got it.

The CNN video is just plain sad. It looks like they really edited certain parts out to make it look completely like police brutality.

If 5 cops can't put handcuffs on a 21 year old kid without electrocuting him first, then they are the ones who need to be tasered. I like how one cop is smiling as the kid screams. I can see the humor in torture. It's fun, like pulling wings off butterflies.

Of course if the kid had been asking "serious" questions like why Kerry gave away his medals or faked injury for his purple hearts or something, then he wouldn't be a hippie, he'd be a hero, right? And the cops would be leftist zealots trying to bury a conservative from voicing his opinion.

And to all those blaming Kerry for this, he kept trying to answer the question, I don't see how he had anything to do with the cops decision to play laser tag with the kid's nuts.

maybe it's just me...

Nope, not just you. I've been laughing all morning about this moron. Have you watched the vid of him later? He keeps whining and then won't tell the cops his name because he says he's scared.(or something to that effect).

F'n hippie college kids. But atleast I got a good laugh out of it all! 😀

Yep, cause we're living in an era of Jack Bauer where torture is good. Not surprised to see the pro-police state, Cointel mantra being parroted in this thread, shows that we are living in a police state after all. Ironically, people calling the guy a "hippie" when he's questioning John Kerry, who is supposed to represent the so-called left. This goes to show that tyranny is tolerated by both sides, and the left-right paradigm is just a distraction for the masses.

 No where did I weigh in on the tasering or say it was good. Also, tasering to get someone(who is resisting) to comply is not "torture". And no, we don't live in a "police state" - no where close to a police state. That moron could have acted calmly and complied with the requests but he chose to act out and push towards the stage and then continue to resist. IMO none of this would have happened if he wouldn't have gone nuts.

BTW - it looks like this guy was a journalism major. Go figure. THE GOV'T IS GOING TO GET ME!!! OH TEH NOESS!!!!!! Grow up kid and quit acting like a spoiled brat.

the country needs a reality check, this guy made the people in the room feel uncomfortable because of his passion and tough questions.

"passion and tough questions" = tinfoil skull and bones questions and then resisting arrest? 😕

Telling me to grow up is a compliment coming from a fascist like yourself who condones police brutality and torture.

The CNN Video was edited and it is a misrepresentation of the truth. It makes it look like a simple question and then security mugs him with 5 security guards and starts tasering. It leaves out the part in the middle when he references that Clinton was impeached for getting a blowjob. Then 2 security guards try to escort him out, then he resists, and then it just escalates.

I do not think that the Taser should be used as much as it has been used. They are cops, they have handcuffs. Just cuff him and take him away already. He was outnumbered 5 to 1. Maybe in the end he was kind of asking to be tasered. Still I think the Taser is used too much in law enforcement. I think the Taser was just a way to shut him up and it constitutes torture.

What? At least be consistent. You said he was kind of asking for it and that also it was torture. Wth?

It's sooooooo simple, people. Guy disruptive. Asked to leave. Doesn't leave. Security try to remove him. He resists. He gets tazered. Very simple, no need to get moral on this. It was funny and I do not get tired of watching whiny bitch college kids getting owned by cops. Never gets boring.

Who cares? Private property, asked to leave, doesn't, cops come. If somebody comes to my house and doens't leave and cops come and they resist, I hope I get enough time to film them getting tazered so I can laugh at it later.
