shyte shyte shyte... i missed it. fortunately, the ESPN zone will show it again at 8pm. i didn't read all this stuff, so i hope i'll be able to watch it w/o knowing what happened.

Oh man, I only saw up the 36th minute and then got back to see the save by Van der Sar against Anelka... MAN UNITED!!!

But can someone tell me how Drogba got redcarded and what happened to Terry? The commentator said Terry lost his footing in the shootout, but I just want to make sure lol.

Drogba violently finger slapped someone, Terry lost his footing (very wet pitch) but after he kicked it, causing it to curve right to hit the post.

Great game, pleased United won although as a Spurs fan it doesn't make much difference. I think overall the better team won - possibly there'll be a breakup of Chelsea now, Drogba is almost certainly leaving, maybe Lampard too?

Must have been emotional for Bobby Charlton and the other Munich survivors.

good match. i didn't really care who won, but really didn't want to see Man U win. LOL. I've never been a fan of Man U supporters...lol.

this sucks. the bbc website's my start page, so opening that my eyes glanced over who won.

i guess there's no point in watching the rebroadcast tonight.

before i saw this, i was planning on sending you a private message with the following only: MU won.

What a great day:

4.5 YO learned to ride a bike,
2.5 YO didn't hurt himself jumping of a Wendy's counter,
wife had purchased me variety case of Sam Adams (and chilled some) as well as a case of Guinness,
the game was in HD my wife and kids went to bed early (and left me and the DVR alone)
and United pulled through in a fantastic game

I wonder if C Ronaldo will leave now with such a strong core of young returning players?

terry lost his footing similiar to what beckham did against Turkey.

Wait, what was the initial argument? I'm watching the replay now, but what happened???

It was a bit confusing, but I think it stemmed from Tevez kicking the ball out of bounds after a whistle. Tempers were flaring pretty hard, so that was just what set it off.

Drogba is a dick anyway. If you are going to be all pissy and provacative (sp?), at least do it like C.Ronaldo. He is fast, awesome in almost every aspect of football, knows how to play with the ref and fans very well, and scores.

Ahh. Anywho, also during that confrontation, it looks like Terry spat on Tevez Youtube...

Is it just me or does everyone on the Chelsea team have a vagina? Despite their tremendous skill level they seem to feel the need to dive, moan, whine, and argue their way through a game. What is more perplexing is that Drogba and Joe Cole are two of the best players on the team and the worst offenders.

They asked him on the air after the game if hes leaving and he said "No, I stay"

From some French wire...

Ronaldo did not exactly rule out a change of heart.
"I don't promise nothing, I don't promise nothing to my mum, I don't promise nothing to the supporters," he said. "I want to stay, but the future... no-one knows. I want to stay. We are going to see in the next two weeks, I don't say I make a decision."
