Hi I just got a Quantum Fireball 7200 ATA 66 Drive. My question is how do I know if its running in UDMA mode? I know there is a section during bootup but it scoots by real fast. I have everything enabled to UDMA in the Bios but I just want to know if everything is working properly. I am using a SOYO 6VCA board , do I need VIA bus mastering drivers to run UDMA 66? Please Help.....

You can always hit the break button to stop the BIOS. That way you should be able to see what it has put the HD as.

If your CPU Util is at 85%, you are probably not running in any DMA mode and most likely are running in dos compatabilty mode. Check the performance tab by right clicking in My Computer/properties.
