Looks like my UD3R has memory slot issues. I'm using CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) here
When putting in slots 1 and 3, I was having problems. Windows memory diagnostic popped up in Vista, which confirmed it. I then ran a series of Memtest86 v3.4 tests.
Errors when in slots 1 and 3.
Each dimm passed when alone in slot 1
slots 2 and 4 - failed
slots 1 and 2 - passed.
So it looks like the 2nd channel is having problems. I'm going to RMA this board.
Also, IDE DVD drive issues. Read problems, specifically trying to install BF2. Even after that when trying to view the contents of the DVDs, (my comp > D: or E:, right click > open ( or explore)) would totally hang the computer. Thought it was the mem issue causing this, but still happens when only using 1 dimm is slot 1.
Any other thoughts? like I said, looks like RMA is in order
