UD2H SYS fan header

I'm playing with fan solutions for my system (http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2036435)...turns out, a rheostat that will handle upwards of 1amp and 12 watts is hard to come by. (if anyone has a "DUH!" solution to this i'd much appreciate it.) I'll probably order one, but in the mean time, i'm curious how much load i can put on the SYS fan header on my mobo. It powers one just fine, @ about 900rpm it's dead silent and pushing a good amount of air, but could i put two on the same header? I never anticipate running them much over 1000-1200 rpm, as they get loud quickly (Scythe Slipstreams). They pull .51 amps at full speed. I didn't find anything useful in the manual. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I'd be hesitant to run more than one fan per header on the mobo w/o knowing the capability of the header first. If you do be sure to use only one sensor wire. The splitter lopri posted has only one side but if you buy elsewhere keep this in mind.
