Hey guys,
I just thought I'd let Team AT UD know that I've upgraded a Celery 550 node to a Thoroughbred 2200+ and it friggin flies through the units (it's performance rating is 119 compared to the bench system at 100). I've also added a P3 700 @ work (and yes I'm allowed).

Nice man! :D
Is 119% the overall performance? How is taking to you to complete a task?
I think it's time for more RAM e CPU upgrade for me too. ;)
Keep crunching!!!

Ya 119 Overall Performance. With my old Celeron 550 it was something like 68 and it used to take me at least a day to complete a WU. Now I get 2.5 or 3 done a day.

Congrats. We need a little more presence for the UD team here on these boards. Seti seems to dominate the attention even though the UD team has moved up quite nicely in its rankings over the past year. Given the huge community of people with potentially high power systems that we've got here, it wouldn't take but a small percentage of them to make a HUGE impact.

I recently did a minor upgrade on one of my boxes and added another to my mix running UD. Upgraded one of my Celeron 900s to a Celeron 1300 (don't laugh, but it IS faster.) I then took the 900 and overclocked it to 1100 and used it to replace a 600@900. I also added in another P3-933 workstation at the office. I think that brings my total active machines to 8 (ranging from 350Mhz to 1.3Ghz) for a total of 6.9Ghz. I'm always trying to figure out ways to work in a spare machine whenever possible.

I'd also like to give another pat on the back to mheroux who apparently has an entire office or computer lab cranking on these things. He's #6 on the ENTIRE UD project when ranked by individual users. Also, the 3 members just below him (BrianLukanic, VGI, and PHFD) deserve a congrats as these 4 are heads and shoulders above the rest of us.
