I install the agent on all of the computers I sell to people :D

You'll be in the top 20 soon after I am, I'm sure.

I still need 4K point to cross the 100 mark ;)
But Maybe I can halve that 4K tomorrow...

What's your daily average at this moment?

Kloostec going strong @ 23 :D

Haha, just as you said that, I have the weakest day I've had in two weeks with "only" 3906 points :p

Looking forward to welcoming you to the top 100!

Well...too bad they all don't work out well.... :/

My 2500+ in my HTPC doesn't want to OC @ all!
This board won't let me increment 1mhz at a time like other boards I have, it just jumps straight from 166FSB to 200FSB.
I can't get memtest86 to run test 5 more than once without errors. I have tried raising core up to 1.8V and memory to 2.8(max).
I am betting the problem is the motherboard. It doesn't even use the P4 aux power connector.
Oh well, it is running flawlessly @ 1.8ghz (cool too!)

Right now I am kickin' back on the sofa running on my 51" RPTV @ 864x480P. It's kinda tricky getting the screen resolutions set up but this one is working pretty good for now.

First of all, congrats on your 400K milestone!!!:D:beer:

The person who first managed my server has moved and requested a new inet connection. This connection
(8mbit/2mbit) will be installed this week or next week. He is moving all his servers to his new home and so
is the server I used to use.. Because of some problems with that server he's going to try something else so
that I can manage the server exactly as I'd like. So when this server is running I need to install everything from
scratch again which is a good thing! I experimented a little here at home to see what I can do best to make it
work and secure enough. I've been experimenting with graphs a little to, so I can make the page a little more attractive
as well ;) But, since I'm going to start from scratch, I'm also planning to start all over with the stats pages. They can be
made better, more efficient and a lot faster..
So, as soon as I have access to that server I'll let you know and start designing as soon as possible. Maybe I'll setup the
previous page in the beginning and work on a new one elsewhere..

Good luck crunching!! :)

hehe, I noticed :p
I just hope I've got enough time on my hands when the server is up again.. It has been some time since I programmed
anything with PHP etc :)

Congrats Thorin on your 7000th post :D

That's where I'm getting my power too.
:) FireDaemon is a wonderful program, just need to find a way now to keep them both from showing up in the ad/remove programs area.

What's up with our latest member? According to statsman we just got a new member named TheOneAndOnlyThatsRight with over 485 million points. That's rather impressive.

edit: That can't be right. According to another part of statsman, the person with the highest number of points has less than 100 million. Must be a glitch or something.

:Q that is indeed my site, but... if that's a new member, it can't be on mine!
It has been down for several months now...
That must be a glitch in the statsman site indeed.. And we can't get a new member who brings in points
the same day he joines the team, the points will stay with the team he used to participate in...

Good job! :)

ha ha.. I was just searching back through the old archived messages in this forum. Back in March, 2003 I restarted my UD efforts after about a 2 or 3 year absence. I was #270,000 or so in the world and about 180 on team AT at that time. Now I'm top 10,000. and #37 on AT :)

Hmm.. seems my very first device installation was on an old p166 back in June of 2001. :) RIP old computer.

3rd Edit:
What are you guys all running on? I have the following:

2 AthlonXP 2500's @ 3200
4 AthlonXP 2500's
2 AthlonXP 2400's
4 AthlonXP 1600's
1 Duron 1000

Now I just need to sell more computers to get my numbers up higher. :)

1 P4 2.4GHz
1 AthlonXP 1600
1 P3 1.0GHz
1 P2 450MHz

I'm hoping to get my P3 800MHz running again soon and also add a P4 3.2C.

All I know is, I need a lot more computers because this is just weak.

edit: The 800 is up and running. I hope that can keep kloostec off my back for just a little longer. Unlikely though.

Why do all you people have those big crunching farms?? :)

Kloostec, are you still running the UD agent with Linux --> VMware? You did tell me once what kind of
scores you were getting.. My new system will be running Linux also (Maybe the 64bits SuSe 9.0 :))
But I probably need at least 1Gb of memory to run both linux and VMware smooth..

Hey CyGoR,

Yeah, I'm still crunching UD under linux.

I'm running Gentoo with Kernel 2.6. I highly recommend you run a 2.6 kernel (with preemtible kernel enabled), as you'll actually be able to do other things while UD crunches (I found 2.4 chopped around a lot). My music used to skip when I launched vmware (not any more with 2.6!), even though the mp3s are on a network share and there's no local disk activity to read them. And with alsa sound, you get crazy audio blending between linux and xp (vmware doesn't take over the sound device). You have to patch vmware to run under 2.6 though. Check out http://knihovny.cvut.cz/ftp/pub/vmware/ (check out the vmware-any-any-update file).

It's actually running both Seti and UD right now (both vmware and seti are nice -n 19, so they both get 50% cpu time).

Machine

Athlon XP 2700+
1 GB ram
120 GB hdd

Virtual Machine

Athlon XP 2700+
640 MB ram (768 ended up being too much in the end)
10 GB virtual disk

With the processor running at an effective half-speed (because of seti), UD gives it 109 points (83/167/196/82). When seti's not running I get about 150-160.

Good machines should have 1 GB ram anyway now.

Nice scores!
I already have 512Mb Corsair Pro (with the nice leds:p) and now saving to buy another one..
It's not possible to run both Seti and UD together with both 50% cpu power?
