UD Cancer Research could use some help!

DestinyDE, many congratulations to you in reaching the top 100! That is a more awesome accomplishment than perhaps many here realize :Q

I'm crunching UD for TNO, and have been for a long time, and I don't think I'm even in the top 1000 right now!

Good luck with your recruitment efforts here at TA. It is a worthy cause IMHO.

TNOguy, I think DestinyDE meant in the top 100 on TA' stats, not UD overall. He should be moving up the team ranks quite quickly though if his production for the last week is normal.

I'd also second the call for anyone interested in helping cancer research check it out. DSLR is moving up behind us and we have a chance to move up several spots if we can up our production a little.

Yeah... I think UD bases stats on the time the CPU runs it, not the number of results it returns. So you could run another DC project at a higher priority with UD running also, and still get good stats. Though it doesn't exactly help the project out much...
 
The point scheme is a little complex, but my experiences have concluded that it all comes down to how many clock cycles you give. So for doing nothing, I don't see ya getting many points. I just let it run in the background 24/7 and haven't seen any performance hits on my other apps. It's a really nice client, if ya want my opinion.
 
You used to be able to run UD and another project and get the same points as if you were just running UD. But now that they added the processor benchmark so it won't do much good. There are ways to get around this but its not worth the effort in IMHO.

On a side note I wish they hadn't changed the stats to updating once every 8 hrs (used to be 4). Makes it harder to keep track of my herd...
