UD agent REALLY needs a pause feature

One of the PC's I'm running it on is a celery 366 w/ 192MB. It is stuck at 44% and I can't do anything with it. I have to restart it every now and again since its a system that people actually use. I left it running and the total CPU time got up near 100 hours and still no progress, its just too damned wimpy. If UD would implement a pause feature for when you need to restart or whatever it would make things so much less of a pain in the butt.

I had to quit running UD on this athalon because it was heating up the processor too much.. Seti doesn't do that, neither does Folding@Home....seems to be a UD problem..guess they figure if they offer prizes you won't mind if they kill your computer.

No, I was not mislead....I just am not that happy with UD at the moment. They tried to change the stats to all points, which angered me. I get lots of stats but no points. I guess I just got fed up with the whole project.

When I first started Ud in May, I had a Wu that got stuck at 99% took 2 days to finish from there. But it did have a ton of hits. I never noticed a prob with shutting it down and restarting it..and I did do that a lot to cool the processor down. Maybe you just have a busy molecule.

The busy molecule is the problem. It was on the same molecule for 80 hours, its never going to get past it unless I stick the PC on a UPS and lock it away so no one can touch it.
