Our band Unless is playing Friday Night on campus thanks to Davis Music Scene. It'll be really hard to listen to, because our type of music isn't widely appreciated, but it'll be free. And we're playing with two bands that we sound nothing like. Come one, come all. I'll be the Asian guy playing bass.

Our music is classified as "Hardcore" which is kindof like Metal but no singing, only screaming. It's not easy to like on the first listen, hehe. The other band, The List, is kind of like alternative rock, with actual singing. The Pacific Avenue Jazz quartet is a Jazz quartet. Yeah. Who plans these? Hehe. For more info, check out DavisMusicScene.org.

Mm, I'll be in Hutchinson, but thanks for the invite. Hope all goes well - I should be out by nine-nine thirty. How late does it go, when do you play, in what order does everyone play? Jazz sounds good. Mm. 🙂 Since I'm on campus anyway, might as well stop by if times work out.

Ooh, methinx 9:30 will be a bit late, and definitely late if you want to see us. It's us (Unless), The List, then Pacific Ave. Jazz Quartet. I can say that our band is going to deliver 20 minutes of power, unless we get booed off stage.

Ooh, a Davis no0b. Sounds like we need another UCD get together, maybe include the Sacramento AT folks too.

Kev1n, hardcore really isn't my style anyway, no hard feelings. 🙂 Maybe I'll drop by and see if stuff's still going on when my group at Hutchinson lets out.

yup yup a Davis noob. I'm still figuring my way around campus. That place is so much bigger than Sac City College. I'll get used to it though. Are there alot of AT'ers from Davis?

Kev1n, does it ever bother you that you will be forever known as "Girl... so.. HOT" guy? Kinda like Dustin Diamond as "Screech"?

🙂
just razzin' ya,

Ollie

Hm, Kelvrick is a Davisite, so's JeremyJoe, UCDNam, PrincessGuard, and Kev1n. If you want some help learning your way around campus, PM me. BTW, you should turn your PM's on.

Infamy is better than no fame!

I still get mixed up in that. People always get our names mixed up. Damn you KEV1N!! Yea, Hardcore isn't really my kind of music. I'll meet with you later and hang out though.

Hehe. Maybe this time it'll be better then just a short sit in the MU. 🙂

Well then come up with something to do. Darn you and your spork! What's there to do in Sac, we could make a trip a few miles away and pick up another half dozen AT peoples.

How come I have to come up with something? Theres nothing in Sacramento either. I guess Old Sac, bowling... I don't really know. I figure the people in Sac are more likely to have cars then we are...

I have a car, chip in for gas and we can go wherever. Oh, and the reason you have to come up with something is that you're the one complaining about sitting in the MU. Activity oriented things build group social cohesiveness, we could start some really out there team scavenger hunt, team up Sac/Davis folks against the Canadians in one area, the NY folks in another, the LA area people... make everyone run around and get different things. Video scavanger hunt would be even better - did one of those where you had to get the phone number of someone of the opposite gender (perfect for AT), shove someone in the pool fully clothed, order one packet of ketchup at a drive thru... list goes on and on. Would be fun to mix RL and the net, team up against each other. I don't know how feasible it would be, but theoretically it sounds fun.

i would just like to say kevin rocks, so you all should go see him and support his hardcore arse. 🙂 i would if i wasn't in LA!

Just a thought, but are you a psych major?
"...build social group cohesiveness..." Just curious.
Count me in for a AT night out.

Communications/English. Group cohesiveness, 8 point list from J.V. (Vohs) Cmn 130 class, Fall quarter, A. 😉 We definitely need to do another netmeet before the quarter ends and everyone goes home. Hm, a little brainstorming on ideas and times? Saturdays typically work for me.

yeah where the hell is Kleiber

just started, and all i know is where my one class is (Haring), the Silo, the MU, and the library.

only taking one class because i'm in this transfer Spring in Davis program where transfer students get to take a free course at UC Davis to figure out what the school is like and adjust to the quarter system before our real first term in the fall.
