UC San Diego Fall 2007

Hey, I just got admitted as a junior transfer for Economics at Warren College. If I don't get admitted at Berkeley or UCLA, I'll definitely be committing there.

So is anyone else admitted/going?

Also, any advice for an incoming transfer, i.e. housing, transportation, etc?

I'm going for my PhD, yippee! Will you be living on campus or off?

I'm going to apply for the on campus housing wait list, but I'll more than likely end up living off campus.

What are you going to grad school for?

wow decisions for transfer students came in already? did you get yours in the mail or did you check online?

I checked online. I got my admit letters from UCSC and UCSB a few days after the online decision was posted (I live in the LA area).

grats. live on campus if you can.

if you live off campus, stay in an apt close to the free UCSD shuttle route. otherwise, you ought to get a car and parking permits

I was planning to bring my car anyway if I live off campus.

I'm actually graduating with a degree in Economics from Warren after this next quarter. Not sure what help I can give you, but if you have any questions let me know.

I just read the basic description and it seemed good enough to me. Didn't really consider the GE requirements of them, I assumed they would be similar.

Ah. I know there's a way to petition for a college transfer, but I don't believe they succeed that often.
