at my apt we scored a nice chair, two 15" monitors (cheaper than any 17" you could have gotten with a "hot deal" here), a desk, and a dresser that didn't fit
Yup.. Berkeley stuff's been gone for a long time.. besides, Berkeleyans would rather toss a 15-inch monitor off the roof of a house than see some scavenging hardware junky pick it up. Four busted monitors outside my house alone.
Now if they were putting this stuff up for a bonfire I suppose it'd be a flaming deal. Too bad most of the Berkeley stuff's been hauled or we could take it to the greek for another bonfire
One reason why I can't wait for UF. In this college magazine I had, one of the tips was "hang around after everyone leaves, kids always leave stuff in their room. There's plenty to be had."
Oh man, I remember seeing a printer in the Tercero Pile on my way into the DC. When I came back out, it was gone. That wasn't you, was it? Isn't that pile for donations and stuff? Oh well. I would never go through those piles unless I'm walking by and see something that I just have to have and couldn't find a place to buy it at.
nope, i didn't pick up the printer. There is another one over by Reyerson. I got a jar and a coffee maker from tercero. The best thing I got (besides the 25inch sony tv and the two rugs) is 40 feet of lights. I'm going to have a cool party house next year!
All of my friend's are environmentalists so we have no qualms doing this. Dude, it's free shopping. And it's fun! Friday and Saturday will have lots more good stuff.
OSU-Columbus had its graduation ceremony the other day and there's probably lots of stuff around the curbs there. However, being so local and so nonspecific, I will not make a thread about it.
