Ooh, ooh, one of the other eggs is cracking. Either it's hatching or it's getting squished.

Wait, falcons are attending college now? Talk about affirmative action!
They're going to need it, 'cause they're not getting in on smarts - I watched the daddy spend a whole lot of time trying to incubate that empty half shell that's in there.

Or it found a way to goof off. "See, honey, I am hatching an egg."

And now there are 2 chicks. Sneaky birds hatching in the night when I was sleeping.

Looks like a third egg is cracked. The inconsiderate thing will probably finish hatching as soon as I go to bed.

They're all eating now. Gross, but they're still cute. The last egg looks ready . There are cracks.

didn't read thread but curious - how varied is their diet? Or is it mainly small furry mammals. Peregrines should be well suited to catching other birds on the fly so to say.

The parents feed them with small birds from what I've seen.

The fourth egg appears to be sterile. The chicks are chowing down and growing stronger.

They were banded yesterday. Two females and one male. There is usually a contest to name them after this. The mom and dad are Annie and Lou.
