Ubuntu Linux Problem

I recently downloaded the Ubuntu Linux live cd iso's. It came with a .iso and a .iso.part. I burned the .iso to a cd, put it in my cd drive, rebooted the computer and made sure I set the BIOS to boot from the cd, but it just booted windows. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Did you select a "burn an image" type of option, or did you just copy the .iso onto the cd?

Try booting off of a bootable cd you know works.

If you pop the cd in the drive in windows do you see the .iso file?

Nevermind, I fixed it. Turns out it wasn't burning the image. Thanks for your help guys.
