still turned off by this DRM. i actually played the settlers 7 demo and LOVED IT. and i really hardly ever like RTS games... but i still can't bring myself to buy it after reading the steam/ubi forums and seeing all the people who are still completely unable to play.
 
and judging from what I've seen from the settler forum, you'd need the crack to play a store bought copy.

Unless broadband carriers and companies that host these servers can *guarantee* 99% up time - this type of DRM will NEVER work. Customers do NOT like to wait or felt like they are being ignored. [Maybe that's why WoW is so damn popular - Blizzard actually understands and updates their customers if there is an issue].

What's incredibly ironically funny about this - the freakin demo requires a connection to the server...and there are posts that people can't play the demo either. 🙁

No-DRM crack - limited to using v1.02 patch [for now].
