Just keep in mind the controller software doesn't have to be run 24/7. If I remember correctly, you can also download the Ubiquiti Android App and use that to set it all up as well or you used to be able to as that's how I did my first ever setup with my UAP-AC-Pros.

My house is also 2800sq ft, not including the basement. Two UAP-AC-Pros covered the whole house with minimal low signal spots.
