I know my father-in-law used to use it a lot, he got a lot of good deals off it. Lots of refurbished stuff. What I like about uBid is that they extend the auction if there's a bid in the last few minutes.

They had good deals back in '99 - '00, but they've been a lousy place to shop for at least 4-5 years.

Last time I checked, speakers and AV are even more of a joke: $1/pound for shipping so even if the item price is OK the shipping is insane.

I use it and have bought many items...so far so good...best deal for me was my radia speakers retailed $10K...I paid $649 shipped directly from the factory in Nevada
