A man charged with killing six people in a series of shootings in southwestern Michigan interspersed with stints as an Uber driver told investigators he was being controlled by the ride-hailing app through his cellphone, police said Monday.

I like how the devil needed the help of his phone and the app to control him. Cuz without that the devil is just out of luck.
 
These "I heard voices" excuses for bad behavior are getting old and I wonder if we can ever prove how legit those stories are.

There was a 17-year-old kid here who decided to shoot another kid in a department store and started blasting away. Hit his intended target, plus both members of a couple who simply happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and were badly wounded.

Kid gets arrested a few hours later. Next day in jail he gets a phone call from a woman who tells him "When the doctor comes, say you hear voices — I ain’t even trying to be funny neither. Say I have a battle within myself, I hear voices. I see things. I don’t give a damn what you say, but you better make sure you act like you’re a [expletive] nut ball." (phone calls to prisoners are recorded)

Guess what defense his attorney is pursuing, based on the doctor's evaluation?
 
Well now here is a twist.

Killer suing Uber

Dalton said he wants $10 million to compensate him for "punitive damages and emotional distress."

"I'm currently in prison because of Uber," he wrote. "Uber doesn't care about its drivers, we are peasants and pawn pieces to Uber's bottom line." He said his wife is seeking a divorce "because of Uber."
