why doesnt one person just list everything one need to look for rather then the thread getting broken up. What ya think?
Just list numbers, heatsinks, sticker or no. Anything on would ask.Just a suggestion

Deal is still on in Fairfax, VA -- shelf tag says $169 but rings up as $79. I got one with no crusher tag, turns out it's a 64meg 8x. I may go back and try again.

He shoots . . . he scores!!!

I just installed the ti4200 I picked up at the Richfield (MN) store this morning. $79.99 sticker on the shelf, I got the last one (Other Twin Cities BB's may still have inventory).

This statement may just add to the confusion, but here goes: My box did not have the "crushes" sticker on it, the board has heat sinks on only one side, but it is identified by the nVidia utilities as being 128MB!! So the moral of the story may be that you will have to install the card to see if it is in fact 128MB.

BTW - the sticker on the anti-static bag reads "GF4TI4200AGP8X" and the UPC code is "751492219370".

Also, my frequencies are set to 250/512 from the factory. How high can you expect to overclock this card? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Picked one up last night at the BB on airport way in Portland, Oregon. Shelf tag said $160...but it rang up $79.

Turned out to be a 128MB version also...yippee!

There were still a couple available.

Happy Hunting!

I just got back from two separate stores in the DFW area, Grapevine and Hurst. The Grapevine store had 3 left, but all boxes were already opened and the price on the self was the regular price. I went to Hurst and they had none in stock but they had the price still at $79. I asked someone there if there were any in stock at Hulen and he ended up checking ALL local stores. Grapevine was the only store with cards in stock. I am not sure if someone still wants an opened item for $79 but Grapevine SHOULD match the Hurst price. By the way, the Hurst location wasn't sure if they were getting any more in. At first, he said there was going to be a new delivery tonight but then later said that there was no indication in the computer system of a reorder of the card.

On a separate note, I did get Icewind Dale 2 for $20 and the box had a $10 rebate. Also, got the "Adventure pack" that goes along with it for free. I had them price match today's Fry's ad down to $20.

I just got one in Salem, NH. $79.99 on the shelf and rings up as 79.99. I do not know, yet, if it is 64 MB or 128MB. There was one left on the shelf.

I can't plug it in until tonight, but the UPC on the Box does not match the UPC on the Card. There are heat sinks on only one side.

Box UPC = 51492 21937
Card UPC = 51492 22316

My BB didn't carry that model anymore, but I pricematched one at CircuitCity (w/ the 10%) and got another at the local CompUSA.

It was the last one on the shelves at both stores!

Woohoo!!!

Damn this is a hot deal. Tempted to pick one up as I miss my Albatron Ti4200 Turbo. The 9700pro is awesome when it works, but still a bit buggy IMO.

ok get this.

bought one at CC in tukwila, WA last thursday for 169. checked it at home and turned out to be 128mb. sunday morning comes and i get all ready to PM CUSA's advertised price at CC. so i get to Bellevue CC right when they open, show the CUSA advert and ask to PM CUSA's price. junior weeny says he's gotta call CUSA to see if they have in stock. so he calls Bellevue CUSA and asks for stock check. claims he's told they're all out. tells me can't give me a PM. i'm pissed. i drive up to Kirkland CUSA thinking maybe they've got some in stock. i get there and they've got 2 so i pick one up. then i drive back downtown seattle to my apartment. i check chubby wallet and see post for 79 outthedoor price at BB. now i'm pissed. so i drive all the way back to bellevue BB to see if they've got any in stock. bam, they've got 5. i pick on up at 79+tax. then i go to bellevue CUSA. bam they've got 4 in stock. so i ask to PM BB's out the door price to CUSA.

long story short, i ended up taking a card back to BB and CC i get the 128mb card at CUSA for 79+tax-30MIR.

w00t w00t!!!

edit:

so if the CUSA rebate comes through (HUGE YMMV) i'll get it for around $55(8.8% tax in WA)

Hi,
Went to BB this morning they had 8 at $169.99.

Earlier I went to the CompASA online site and printed out the deal.
I then clicked on "check store availability".

It showed a couple of stores with the card available. I printed that out to show it was available in store and not just an online sale.
The closest store was over 90 miles away.

They were happy with that proof. So I got it for $79.99

It says AGP8X on the static bag and has heat sinks both sides. Said 64MB on the box

Southeast Mass..

Worth trying even if CompUSA is not local.

Regards :)

I jut took my 2 cards out of their boxes and looked at them. One came out of a box that had the "Crusher" sticker (CircuitCity), the other did not (CUSA).

Neither have heatsinks on the back of the card but both have a sticker that says something like ...ti4200AGP8X64.

I assume that means no 128MB love for me?

Oh well, it's still a helluva deal.

Still $79.99 on Monday!! Just got one.

Be aware that the shelf tag says $169.99. The lower price rings up at the register.

Don't make that assumption. My 128's don't have heatsinks on the underside. Look for this number on the sticker on the underside of the card:

VCGF4T42A8PB

Also, look for this UPC *on that same sticker* -- not the UPC on the box:

7 51492 22316 2

If you have both of these numbers, then you got a 128MB card!

Shelf tag at Greenville, SC Best Buy still reads $79.99 today- OOS.

Greenville, SC CompUSA OOS and will not be getting any in for a few weeks. Would not do a raincheck even though this is the second day of a 5 day sale... Crap.

I guess that I will just have to be happy with my 128MB card I got yesterday for $79, but getting the rebate would have been very nice.

mplogic,

I haven't tried the one I just bought on my lunch break yet, but the sticker on the card says 8x64 and the UPC on the card does match the box. Are my chances not good of this being a 128? Did your UPCs match?

Thanks.

Your chances are not good if the UPCs match.

Could someone pick me up this card for me?
The BB near my place has it for 169.99. Dang...
If somebody bought 2 and doesn't need the other one, please PM me.
I prefer the 128MB, but right now, I'll be happy with the 64MB one as well.
Help a guy out who has a ghetto BB. :)
Thanks
