Is there any software/benchmarks that will tell you what speed your hard drive is communicating with your m/b????
want to make sure mine is transfering 100 mbs like it says and not 66....or 33.....thanks for helping the junior member.......
And how do you attach your sys.specs. to your posts.???

Hahahaha, Your drive will never have a sustained rate of transfer you see advertised. These are peak rates that are scavanged out of the drive buffer. The RPM of drive is more important for sustained transfer rate. Just get a fast CPU and lots of cheap memory, be happy.

OMG are you in for a rude awakening. The day IDE transfers at a true 100 MBS, I'll trash my LVD SCSI setup. No way my friend, I doubt UDMA100 even comes close to 40-50 MBS sustained.
