U3?

I wish to remove the U3 software on my Cruzer drive (to make it bootable), but I don't know if this will disable the applications on my flash drive. I didn't install these into U3; they are in a separate folder.

List includes:

Avira Antivirus
Firefox 2.0.0.12 (non-portable)
7zip
winamp

among others.

Will removing U3 remove my ability to use these programs?

Getting rid of U3 won't disable the use of those applications. However, during the U3 removal process the flash drive is formatted. So copy all your data off the drive first then uninstall U3.
