Nothing really stands out on the album, IMO.

I'm a big U2 fan, but I'm pretty indifferent to this one.

How to sound like U2:

1) Recycle the same drum beat
2) Obtain a Boss DD-3 Digital Delay pedal and play 3 notes through it on 800ms mode
3) Sing elementary pretentious lyrics at random intervals

1) Predictably thread-crap in all U2 threads to show how "different" you are.
2) See 1.

You keep dissing their music like anyone could create something better, so why don't you host an mp3 of something that you've created?

Ever hear the riff in Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water"? Any guitar newb could do it, but it's still one of the most well-known and liked riffs ever created. Complexity doesn't always make great music.

If I'm different for not jerking off over U2 so be it.

I like U2, haven't heard the album.

Does it make sense to go into a thread about a band you dislike?

You're "different" because you can't resist repeatedly stating your dislike for them in every thread.

Yes, it is. For one, this thread wasn't entitled "What is your overall opinion of U2?" That would an obvious invitation for you to state your tired opinion for the nth time. It asked about opinions of their latest album, which I doubt you've even listened to. If you have listened to it, knowing you would hate it, then I pity you even more. I don't listen to music that I dislike just so I can dis it in threads on ATOT.

Besides, there's a difference between not liking something and constantly feeling the need to state your dislike while backing up none of your claims. If their music is as simple as you claim, I again would like for you to create something with that's half as catchy as anything that U2 has released. Feel free to post a link.

As you're not going to, however, I'm just going to ignore whatever other drivel you feel a necessity to post in this thread.
