U2 is the best group still making music.

You know this is true! I'm allowing myself to forget the release of their Pop album.

Hellz yeah. I hate 99.9% of the crap out there, but U2 will always ROCK ON. They are by far one of the most talented groups out there. I really cant think of any of my friends that don't like SOME of their stuff, despite what their tastes are.

Well I haven't listened to Pop enough probably. The thing about U2 is they can make an album with one sound, like War, and another like Zooropa (this album is an acquired taste) and both kick ass. They really do have more than one sound and, unlike most groups, all their sounds are great.

Plus their last album is one of the best. They are totally not has-beens, which is great for a band of this age.

I am listening to U2 right now, then I see this thread. Sweet :)
I like some of the songs off of Pop, but yeah it's probably their worst album overall.
Good call Skoorby ;)

If you haven't done so already, do a search on Morpheus and download a few live renditions of "With or Without You." I've got a good bit of live stuff, and some of it will bring tears to your eyes.

Amish you're wrong about that too. AC/DC has sucked arse since Bon died. Their new singer sounds like a trailer trash hag with PMS.

For "old" bands, Aerosmith beats them all.

Edit: When I saw "new singer", I realize that Brian Johnson has been with them for quite some time now, but he's still their new singer as far as I'm concerned. And I still hate his singing.

I agree! I saw them in concert on their Elevation tour... oh my was it schweet. :Q :Q :Q :Q :Q

They were the only reason I bothered to watch any of the VMA last night. Last night they even made fun of themselves a bit for some of their past stuff (Pop I presume). ;)
