I'm not quite sure Pakistan is willing to go to war for this purpose - nor India. They're both at fault for this situation. India for not allowing a simple vote to let Kashmiris decide their fate for themselves (3 choices on the ballot: Join India, join Pakistan, go independent), and Pakistan for looking in the other direction while people in their own armed forces train Kashmiri militants to cross the line in the disputed region.
India's been given one too many bitchslaps to let this one go again...their being seen as a pacifist country is getting them pushed around, and it looks like they'll be forced to take *some* action if just to negate that perception. No doubt Musharrif of Pakistan wants to clamp down on the militants but he's got a tenuous hold on the country as it is to start making sweeping arrests across the mostly lawless country. No doubt he would authorize the use of nukes if the country was invaded and in danger of being lost - wouldn't we all do the same?

Alot of people made jokes about this situation. Yes, one should not make jokes about nuclear war and death. But people do it still. And people laugh at those jokes, me included (as I mdid in this thread). There's nothing to gain by flaming each other over this. You can do it for hours or 'till mod decides enough is enough and closes the thread.
