U.S., Syria talking again

This is hilarious. Pelosi upstages monkey boy and his band of morons, gains noteriety, attracts boos and hisses from the band of morons, and now the morons are trying to gain ground back.

In Baghdad, U.S. Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said Syria had tightened its borders and reduced the number of foreign insurgents crossing into Iraq -- a chief demand of the United States.

So Syria meets one of the demands the Bush Administration set down and this somehow makes it a Pelosi win?

Do you guys even read the articles or is your BDS too difficult to overcome?

Its one thing to dislike people for real reasons, its another to be irrational about it as too many here are.

Amazing how it did that *AFTER* Pelosi's visit...

I guess when you try and treat people as equals rather than petulent children they might act differently and not be insulted by your arrogance.

So basically you're saying, any politician can define the US foreign policy?

You also remember the Pelosi flat out lied to Syria about Israel's statements? Do you even comprehend how idiotic her little stunt was, or is it "Democrats can do no wrong"? Partisan toolery at it's finest.

North Korea has quieted down, now that they have been rewarded with cash. Libya has been careful not to stir up trouble, and now I suppose Syria expects to be rewarded too.

Are you insane? A Republican goes to Syria, that's ok. The next week a Democrat does and they malign her BEFORE SHE EVEN LEAVES. The next month another Republican goes to Syria and that's ok too.

How willfully blind must you be to deny this, and then accuse others of partisanship? Of all the things people argue about these days the level of partisianship in the current administration is one that not even people like you can dispute.

She wasn't there to define policy. As far as flat out "lying" she only misstated a nuanced statement. As far as being a partisan "tool", please. I am not for any one party, but I am for the idea. If a party presents the idea that I believe in, I vote for that party.

I am a registered Republican and vote for them regularily, provided they aren't rubber stamp hacks or neocon pole suckers. Give me an honest to God small government, fiscially conservative, individual rights *REPUBLICAN* and not these idiot imposters and I will vote for them in a heartbeat.

It's not hard to see that monkey boy's policies have sucked for the past 6 years. Considering I voted for him 6 years ago with promise, I am now completely against him.

It matters little if there were Republicans before or after her visit. Republicans can do no wrong, even if they screw up the whole world.

A regular parade of Republican congressmen and women have been visiting Syria for years and no one has complained---and so the republicans made as much political hay as possible when Pelosi visited---we all know that kind of political hay is only digestible by horse's asses.

But when the executive branch dispatches Rice to talk to Syria---this is truly groundbreaking news. But the other question becomes what was accomplished? If Rice delivered another GWB my way or the highway missive, we can figure not much. Or we could ask what tangible results we can see will later emerge? We may get our answer at Bush's or Cheney's next axis of evil speech.--to add to the confusion we may see one say one thing that totally disagrees with the other said.
