I have a 5400 rpm seagate notebook drive installed inside my laptop (asus z63a). The thing feels pretty warm and I keep getting warnings from notebook hardware control that the temperature is at 55 degrees celsius or higher.
Is 55 degrees celsius normal for a laptop hard drive? Granted it has been pretty hot this summer in socal, but the warnings leave me a bit uneasy and the laptop is pretty warm in the area of the hard drive.
Thanks in advance.
