ok so i've identified a few types (obviously a function of where i work) and am curious to see what you guys have

i have:

nurses: ornery... i'm sure they're nice people, but they turn into the devil incarnate when they call me for some reason. these are the only people that have ever simply started screaming at full volume at me over the phone, or some other horrible antic.

doctors (and professors, but to a lesser extent): nice people... polite and well spoken

people in high places or just businessmen: people that refuse to believe that *gasp* the rules apply to them... they demand to talk to our manager, who just stonewalls them like we did :D

assistants to people in high places: same as above, except these people are just plain pathetic because they get all indignant and say stuff like "i'm the assistant to *fill in blank*!!! i need this done immediately!"

yea, whatever.

old people: really nice people, but they're way way too apologetic... always talking about how dumb they are with computers and whatnot.

the reason i wanted to make this post was because i just realized there is another category.....

fratboy: usually choose some recockulous email address as an incoming freshman, something like "blowme@u.washington.edu". then, they start to realize that email is how their professors and other people communicate with them, at which point they come to us and are like "uh... can i change my email address...." they'll also often have their email forwarded to some godforsaken AOL or Hotmail account. argh, idiots.

i had texasfight@mail.utexas.edu for a year. of course, i also gave out my more professional sounding one as well. you could have two addresses and the old just points to your new box for 6 months, then you switch when the old one expires.

i just have my first initial and last name for my school (and job) related email accounts. employers dont like seeing lewd references in people's email accounts. not conducive to job oppertunities.

oh, and dont distribute your @kournikova-anna.net email address to employers either. they dont seem to like that, though i know one who would...
